Daljit Kaur Chhina
My Tantra
My name is Daljit Kaur Chhina (artdaljit on social media). My art is an abstraction of my inner self and takes over the universe, seed, and philosophy of doors and niches as a part of me using mixed media, including raw loom and photography. Self-realization: Seed is all about existence and five elements; I express it in a series of paintings or photographs. “Doors” have deep depth and untold stories; one only gets to know with the touch, just like life. I was born in Punjab, India, and my inner self lives like its culture—full of life in folk motifs and the existence of birds like parrots, sparrows, and peacocks, which share folk psyche and tales. These motifs evolved as some of the sexiest life cycles. Flowers and petals show part of nature’s diversity toward life and relationships and show that flowers have similarities to humans and harmony which can be learned from them to achieve the ultimate vision for invisible power and peace.
Primarily, my abstract works depict depth and feelings from real-life experiences. Feminist forms of Shakti, Creation, and the universe dominate thoughts and inseparable folk motifs where the subject is always hopeful and trying to find a natural way of peace and life. Colors are vibrant and bright; mostly cadmium red, yellow, and tones will dominate along with blue in mixed media. Nature and Light take me along; I see endless ventures in this, leaving people with a lot of imagination and hope. My painting medium is flexible to surface or style; I take it as merely a mirror of feelings and cause. My lens catches the universe with its various colors, species of beings, and the variety of worldly phenomena. Besides that, my photography clicks are instinctual, mainly on the go and virgin without editing and filters.
Artwork Description
Rhymes of the Universe as Purusha-Man and Prakriti-Female are busy with their Activity. “Egg” carries the Creation’s seeds and the plentitude vase, whereas the second part represents the Vidya (Knowledge) concept. Yogi sits in “padmasana,” and the entire text is weaving the summary of Ek-Om-Kar-Oneness. The pair of parrots—Desire grasp the story content and take care of the Treasure of seeds to keep them alive through Peacock-rhythm and gaiety. It’s a process from reality to abstracts that helps me stand on my own feet and carve my niche, enabling me to leap and fly towards enlightenment.
